Modelling Engineer

Kallikor | Improbable · promoted from Associate Modelling Engineer

  • Build and test discrete-event simulation models in Python (SimPy) of complex operations: resources, material flows, storage and automated handling.
  • Own modelling work on client projects end to end, from turning open questions into scenarios to explaining the results to consultants and clients.
  • Worked through an unfamiliar legacy model under time pressure and delivered an analysis in two days that evidenced significant potential annual savings for a client.
  • Designed and built a reusable, config-driven Python data framework (modular ETL tasks, data validation, local and AWS S3 data flows) now shared across client projects.
  • Led the restructuring of shared ETL infrastructure for consistency and reuse, and contribute to automated testing, code review and design decisions.
  • Mentor and onboard engineers, and run internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Use AI coding assistants for prototyping and debugging, with every change reviewed and tested.
